Corporate Relocation

Change is inevitable in all sectors of business. Advances in technology, revisions in corporate strategy and wider economic conditions are all key factors in changing how we work and where we work. In adapting, organisations often find that their existing premises are no longer suitable and decide to relocate. An impending lease expiry or break option is common factor in this decision.

Corporate relocation is a multi-faceted process, which if managed correctly can have a very positive effect on staff and act as a catalyst for driving change throughout an organisation. Conversely if the inherent risks are not managed, critical resources can be drained and business operations interrupted which will impact negatively on staff, customers and profitability.

Typically, a corporate relocation commission includes a combination of the following tasks:

  • Full Project Management from inception to completion
  • Initial site evaluation and comparison including space planning and cost advice
  • Advise on technical aspects of lease and negotiate with Developer / Landlord
  • Develop and implement exit strategy from existing premises including settlement of dilapidations claims
  • Design, specification, tendering, cost control and contract administration of fit-out works (Where full design team is not required)
  • Selection and appointment of design team members (Where full design team is required e.g. Interior Architect, Services engineer, Fire engineer, QS etc.)
  • Client Move management e.g. Removals, disposal of old furniture and equipment, procurement of new furniture, fixtures, fittings and equipment
  • Handover of premises and set up maintenance contracts
